Curio Collection by Hilton unveils first Maldives resort
Curio Collection by Hilton will debut in the Maldives next year with an upscale 198-room modern resort at Emboodhoo Lagoon.
Managed by S Hotels & Resorts under a franchise agreement between Hilton and Singha Estate Public Company Limited, SAii Lagoon Maldives will open in 2019 with deluxe rooms, beach villas and overwater villas.
Tropical inspired interiors featuring custom-made furnishings are being created by celebrated hospitality designer Bill Bensley.
Key amenities at SAii Lagoon include The Hub social space, and a variety of in-house dining options from Mediterranean, Thai and seafood.
The Maldives’ first and largest integrated tourist destination CROSSROADS is just a stroll away from the resort and houses a 30-berth marina, retail and dining, the Maldives Discovery Centre and a marine life protection centre.
"The resort will offer an engaging array of well-thought-out vacation experiences that immerse guests in the stunning new island location," said Dirk De Cuyper, chief hospitality officer, S Hotels & Resorts.
Guests staying at SAii Lagoon Maldives can earn and redeem rewards through Hilton’s global loyalty programme HHonors, which covers all of Hilton’s 14 distinct hotel brands.
Hilton’s Curio Collection currently consists of more than 55 handpicked independently operated hotels around the world, each with their own unique character.
