DC welcomes another American
In June of ’08, American shifted operations from Terminal D to make room for Dulles’ expansion of Concourse B. They are now in the final stage of the relocation of American’s operations to Washington Dulles International Airport’s Terminal B. The airline is set to open the doors of its new Admirals Club lounge today.
In “Having served Washington Dulles International Airport since 1962, American Airlines is delighted to mark the new year by opening the doors to our brand new Admirals Club lounge for our 47th year of service to IAD,” said Nancy Knipp, President – Admirals Club. “The Admirals Club lounge will certainly heighten our customers’ travel experience as they journey through Washington Dulles International.”
The lounge willbe open from 5:30 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Sunday to Friday and 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, the new Admirals Club lounge is located in Terminal B, Mezzanine Level near Gate 63. The 3,000 square foot facility is sure to provide a wee window of relief for weary travellers with seating for 73 guests and complimentary light snacks, juice, tea, coffee and soft drinks. The lounge’s new food and beverage program, Amora™, also offers fare for purchase. Looks like the fees are making their way to lounges as well.
American, a founding member of the oneworld® Alliance, operates 44 Admirals Club locations in airports throughout the world, each offering a host of business tools and convenient services in a professional, secluded environment. One-year Admirals Club memberships for new members range from just $350 to $500. AAdvantage miles can also be used to purchase Admirals Club memberships.
