Delta adds extra European flights
Delta Air Lines is set to increase capacity on transatlantic routes starting next month with more flights to Europe from New York JFK and Atlanta.
New year-round daily departures to Zurich, from JFK will begin June 16 on Boeing 767-300ER aircraft which feaure full flat-bed seats with direct aisle access in the BusinessElite cabin.
The carrier will also expand service to Rome from JFK with daily flights until the end of October, and then operate five times a week on the route.
Along with its global alliance partner Air France-KLM, Delta will add extra round-trips from its Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson hub to both Amsterdam and Paris in the winter.
"We are in a unique position to collaborate with our joint venture partners to make full use of our combined fleet and networks to best serve our customers," said Glen Hauenstein, Delta’s executive vice president.
Delta has also recently started a new codeshare joint venture with Virgin Atlantic further increasing access to transatlantic markets.
