Delta and Virgin introduce larger aircraft on key routes
Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic have updated their summer 2018 schedules to strengthen their transatlantic partnership.
From March 24, Delta will introduce the Airbus A330 aircraft on its New York-JFK, Atlanta and Detroit routes to London Heathrow.
The A330 aircraft, equipped with Wi-Fi and feature 34 fully flat-bed seats in the Delta One cabin, will improve the in-flight experience and increase the number of seats on these routes.
From March 25, Virgin Atlantic and Delta will offer eight daily flights on the New York-JFK and Heathrow route – six operated by Virgin and two by Delta.
Meanwhile at Manchester, Virgin Atlantic has announced its biggest ever season of flying.
Flights to both New York JFK and Atlanta have been upgraded and will now be operated by both the A330 and the Boeing 747, which has 455 seats and is the
largest aircraft in its fleet,
Virgin now flies to seven US and Caribbean destinations direct from Manchester, including new routes launched this year to San Francisco, Boston and New York.
