Delta CEO restates airline’s hardline stance on disruptive passengers
Delta Air Lines’ chief Ed Bastian said the airline won’t hesitate to give disrespectful flyers a life ban.
Bastian laid out its policy in an internal memo and revealed it has already banned more than 800 people for refusing to keep face masks on during flights.
"Please know that respect and civility have always been a requirement for our people and our customers. Those who refuse to display basic civility to our people or their fellow travelers are not welcome on Delta. Their actions will not be tolerated," he wrote.
Delta’s no-fly list is made up of predominantly anti-maskers but there have been politically-charged incidents as well.
The airline allegedly booted passengers for heckling Donald Trump critic Sen. Mitt Romney, and Sen. Lindsey Graham.
The FAA has said it is now taking a hard line ‘zero tolerance policy’ against unruly or disruptive passengers, supported by big fines and possible jail time for offenders.
