Delta chief to head Virgin’s US airline
Virgin has poached a Delta Air Lines boss to head its yet to be launched US domestic carrier. Delta president and chief operating officer Fred Reid is to leave Delta next month to assume control of Virgin’s new venture. He leaves after more than six years with Delta, which claims to be the world’s second largest in terms of passengers carried. Delta chief executive Gerald Grinsteain will take on Mr Reid’s responsibilities before further management moves are confirmed. Report by Phil Davies
