Delta does ‘comfort’ deal with Amadeus

Delta Air Lines has announced a new expanded partnership with Amadeus which will enable the sale of Delta’s Economy Comfort class seats, a premium economy product,  through Amadeus’ GDS.

The airline says the long-term agreement will provide more choices for customers and travel agents.

As part of the new agreement, Delta says that Amadeus will also be working on more initiatives to personalize and enhance customer experience.  Amadeus will continue to distribute Delta’s branded fares along with its Economy Comfort premium seats.

Economy Comfort class feature three to four inches of additional leg room across Delta’s fleet of two-class aircraft, as well as priority boarding. On long-haul international flights, the seats have up to 50 percent more recline than standard economy class seats. Customers also get complimentary beer, wine and cocktails–a priced option for standard economy class.. Economy Comfort is available on all Delta mainline aircraft and on more than 250 two-class regional jets.
