Delta launching new UK routes
Delta Air Lines is launching two new transatlantic routes to the UK beginning next May.
The airline will fly from Salt Lake City to London Heathrow daily on a seasonal basis and will become Delta’s eighth route out of Heathrow.
Flights will be operated by 210-seat B767-300ER aircraft.
Later that month Delta will also launch daily services to Edinburgh from New York JFK.
American Airlines also began flying direct to Edinburgh from New York earlier this year and United Airlines serves the Scottish capital from Newark and Chicago.
"Delta and Virgin Atlantic are committed to offering an extensive network on the transatlantic and our new flights from London and Edinburgh will offer more connections to destinations throughout the US and beyond," said Nat Pieper, Delta senior vice president, EMEA.
