Delta passengers exit plane on emergency slide with dog
Two passengers and a dog on a Delta flight decided not to fly and exited the plane while it was still taxiing out to a runway.
They opened a cabin door and activated the emergency slide causing a long delay to the Atlanta-bound flight at New York LaGuardia Airport.
Antonio Murdoch, 31, and Brianna Grego, 23 were detained.
They were also traveling with a service dog.
They were arrested by Port Authority Police and could face charges.
Murdoch told a flight attendant his post-traumatic stress disorderwas kicking in before exiting the aircraft.
The airline said the Airbus A321 jet returned to the gate where all remaining passengers exited normally.
Delta said the plane underwent maintenance checks after the incident and was returned to service several hours later.
