Delta sales blitz in advance of second New York frequency
More than 400 agencies are being targeted for a sales blitz as Delta air Lines prepares to add a second Gatwick-New York flight.
The additional frequency to JFK starts on April 2 and comes in addition to flights from Manchester to New York-JFK and Edinburgh to Atlanta launched last year.
Delta claims it will become the first US carrier to introduce flat-beds onto its transatlantic fleet from early next year.
Agents will also be updated on the airline’s planned exit from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and what this means for the business moving forward.
UK sales director Armin Venencie said: “With the launch of our second frequency between London and New York coming up in April, it was the right time for us get out there and thank our agency partners for their support and give them an update on all the exciting things that are happening at Delta and to answer any questions that they may have about our service.
“Over the past year we have not only introduced more than 60 new routes, we have made significant product upgrades onboard both our international and domestic fleets.
“Agents are a key distribution channel for Delta in the UK and we’re looking forward to having the opportunity to meet with as many as possible to let them know about the good news they can continue to hear from Delta over the coming months.”
