Delta’s new LaGuardia terminal opens
The brand new Delta Air Lines terminal was unveiled at New York LaGuardia, marking the next step in the airport’s $8 billion transformation.
The 1.3 million-square feet Terminal C cost $4 billion, and flights commence at the weekend.
Nine of the 37 new gates will be open on Saturday.
Delta is the largest carrier at LaGuardia, and plans to operate 255 flights daily from the airport this summer.
Delta contributed about $3.4 billion for reconstruction works. It was the ‘single biggest investment decision” in the airline’s history,’ the airline said.
