Destination DC appoints 5F Marketing LTD for UK and Ireland trade representation
Official destination marketing organization Destination DC has tapped 5F Marketing LTD as new representative agency for the UK and Ireland travel trade.
Effective now, the partnership reflects DDC’s commitment to strengthen travel trade relationships across the pond.
Elliott L. Ferguson, II, President and CEO of Destination DC, said: “International visitors stay longer and spend four times more than domestic visitors. As our current second international market for visitation and third in spend, the UK remains incredibly important for Washington, DC.”
“As we focus on growing international market share, Andy and his team bring energy and creativity that perfectly reflect DC’s vibrant and evolving spirit.”
5F Marketing LTD will support B2B trade engagement, partnership training and tactical promotions with tour operators and OTAs to promote Washington, DC.
Andy Facer, Managing Director of 5F Marketing LTD, said: “We are delighted to partner with Destination DC and showcase the capital’s rich culture, heritage and experiences to the UK travel trade.
“This collaboration gives us a fantastic opportunity to inspire and grow UK visitation to Washington, DC.”
Destination DC looks forward to continuing its strong UK partnerships with FINN Partners for ongoing public relations efforts, and AbleMaxx for ongoing international business events.
This allows DDC to further specialize its approach.
The United Kingdom and Ireland are currently Washington, DC’s second international market behind Canada, with 194,000 visitors in 2024, according to Tourism Economics’ 2024 final report.
