Devon resorts feature in Flybe campaign
Flybe is to feature the English Riviera Tourist Board in an email campaign reaching 1.2 million subscribers.
The tourist agency for Torquay, Brixham and Paignton will also have its own button on the Flybe.com website and be a featured destination for the next three months.
English Riviera literature is also going to be distributed through Flybe executive lounges in Jersey, Guernsey, Exeter, Manchester, Belfast City, Southampton and Gatwick so the Devon resorts can target more high-spending visitors outside the July and August peak.
Information on the area will be carried in the seatback pocket of flights from Exeter airport, which carry around 70,000 passengers a month.
The airline’s commercial director Mike Rutter said: “A package as comprehensive as this is a first with any regional tourist board in the UK and we know our passengers are going to enjoy discovering what the English Riviera has to offer.
“Exeter airport is conveniently located just a short drive from Torquay, Paignton and Brixham and this unique deal is a perfect way of reaching potential tourists flying in and out of this busy airport.”
English Riviera Tourist Board tourism director Aviva Pearson said: “We are thrilled to be working in partnership with such a respected airline as Flybe and harnessing the unbelievable marketing potential of the UK’s leading non-London centric airline.”
