Dip in a spa pool before flying with Virgin
Virgin Atlantic is to offer passengers what it claims will be the first spa pool, steam room and sauna in an airport lounge.
The spa facilities are to be the centrepiece of an expanded business class lounge at Heathrow due for completion later this year.
The first phase of the £11 million Clubhouse at the airport Heathrow airport has been opened. The previous lounge will be redeveloped to create a facility 2,500 square metres in size – double the size of the former Clubhouse.
The Soho House spa brand Cowshed is being used in the new Clubhouse. Passengers can take a dip in a spa pool, enjoy a sauna or use the steam room before setting off on their travels.
The lounge is equipped with wireless technology, laptop points, internet access and phones. Other features include a 14-metre long cocktail bar and leather seating.
