Directline Holidays trials monthly payment scheme
Directline Holidays is trialling a monthly payment scheme for holidaymakers in response to complaints about paying for holidays early.
As of March 1, customers can have interest free, monthly holiday payment plans across all products with final payment due three weeks before departure.
CEO Maria Whiteman said: "For the first time ever we are offering holidaymakers the opportunity to pay off their holiday on a monthly basis, as they would do with high value items such as a car or a three-piece suite.
"We are trialling a new payment system to try and make things a little easier on the purse strings.
"We pay the tour operators for the full deposit on the customer’s behalf. We can do this based on our strong financial standing built up through more than 20 years as a successful travel company."
The payment system will operate on holidays Directline Holiday package as well as holidays booked with other tour operators.
Standard cancellation procedure applies.
