Disney sued over Rise of the Resistance ride patent
Walt Disney Parks submitted and Resorts is being sued for alleged patent infringement. Raven Sun Creative claims in 2014 it gave Disney a proposal for using its patented technology for the Rise of the Resistance ride.
The lawsuit says Disney then passed off the tech, which coordinates videos with a vertical-moving trolley, as its own. In March 2020, Raven Sun Creative sent Disney a patent infringement notice but Dpsney said it would not pay up or cease and desist.
