Disney’s new program really granting wishes

Sunday, 07 Sep, 2006 0

When visitors make a wish at Walt Disney World these days, they may really get it.

Disney cast members next month will be empowered to grant wishes that might include free dining, ticket upgrades, shopping sprees and even the chance to be grand marshals at Disney parks globally.

In addition, families visiting after January will be chosen at random to stay atop Cinderella’s Castle in Disney’s first-ever castle suite.

The program is called “The Year of a Million Dreams.”

Disney World is also introducing a new attraction next year that will allow guests to joke and sing songs with the animated characters from Disney-Pixar’s Monsters Inc.

Further promoting its family appeal: Disney is converting 400 guest rooms to 192 family suites at the All-Star Music Resort. Each suite will sleep up to six people.
