DIY in NYC?
A luxury tour operator is giving holidaymakers the chance to live it up in New York but also help clean up after Super Storm Sandy.
Responsible luxury tour operator, Hands Up Holidays, is offering an eight-day trip for £5,350 per person, including accommodation at the Waldorf Astoria, a helicopter tour, Broadway show, evening yacht ride, and dining at some of the city’s finest restaurants.
But the so-called ‘voluntourists’ also get the chance to work for three days priming, painting and redecorating a community centre in Coney Island that was hit by the storm in October.
Hands Up Holidays also donates at least 10% of its profits to further Community development projects.
