Dnata announces its new UK leadership team
Dnata has announced its new UK leadership team, headed up by Andy Freeth as managing director of Travel 2 and Gold Medal.
Andrew Botterill, European CEO for dnata Travel B2B, announced the directors from existing management roles.
Andy Freeth is appointed managing director, Travel 2 and Gold Medal, taking responsibility for both trade brands along with associated brands Pure Luxury and Simply Luxury.
He will lead the sales, marketing, product, commercial and operational functions across Preston and Glasgow.
Bruce Wildgust is appointed to the role of director of information technology, Simon Woodford is appointed to the role of director of air product and Andy Stark remains as managing director of The Global Travel Group.
The company said Andy Freeth will announce his senior management team to the business over the coming few weeks, with a further announcement to follow shortly.
Botterill said: "Andy has excelled within the Stella Travel Group for over eight years, in that time he has transformed Travel 2, driving the business forward to achieve growth in revenue and profitably consistently year after year.
"I can think of no one better to realise the potential that sits within these two great businesses and I look forward to supporting him and his team as he works to pull the two businesses together.
"We remain focused on our commitment to retaining both strong B2B brands. With the growth opportunities we forecast across the other areas of the business, we confidently expect to retain the existing talent we have in both businesses and hope to recruit additional new talent for new opportunities very soon. Watch this space."
Freeth added: "There’s a big job to do, but working collaboratively with the teams in both Glasgow and Preston I’m very confident that we deliver on dnata’s ambitious plans."
Internationally, dnata owns and operates Gold Medal Travel Group, Stella Travel Services, Travel Republic, has investments with Hogg Robinson Group, Mindpearl Group, Imagine Cruising, and brought personalised travel to the Middle East through a joint venture with Travel Counsellors.UK
