Do what you have always wanted to do when you leave a hotel………….
We all take those little bottles of shampoo or a bar of soap home, but some hotel guests take a lot more including sheets, blankets, towels, even espresso machines and more sometimes, even the telly!
So it is unusual to find a hotel that is actively encouraging its guests to take home the telly, but that is what they are doing at the Rydges North Sydney, but of course you can’t just walk out with a telly….there there are a couple of conditions…..read on!
You see, if you stay at Rydges North Sydney and you can take take home one of 166 televisions, FREE, because at Rydges North Sydney they are upgrading all their rooms with new Philips 32 inch widescreen LCD televisions to match their recent bed upgrades to Rydges Dream Beds.
So, as a bonus for staying at Rydges North Sydney, guests will have the opportunity to take the previous televisions home for free at the end of their stay.
Craig Simpson, General Manager of Rydges North Sydney said that the idea was to try and avoid adding to the global consumer electronic waste pile, rather help some guests out with a free television and recycle their use.
“We have 166 guest rooms meaning that we have 166 24 inch working Philips televisions to giveaway.”
“We’re very happy to be upgrading our rooms to the new widescreen LCD televisions – guests will love them – but we’re also very conscious that our guests might have family or friends who could make really good use of a free television,†said Mr Simpson.
“If guests are interested, all they have to do is ask our front desk and we will organise for them to have a look at the television.”
“Then they can decide if they would like to take it home for free. It’s really that simple.â€
Some guests at Rydges North Sydney have already taken advantage of the great offer, and the opportunity to take home one of the televisions will only be available until Rydges North Sydney gives away all 166 televisions.
Offer is limited to one television per one guest per room and guys if you stay at the Rydges North Sydney and there is a new Philips 32 inch widescreen LCD in your room, then the deal is off……….oh, and leave those sheets, blankets and the kettle behind too………….!!
