Dolphin adds Pegasus properties to TravelScanner
Travel software supplier Dolphin Dynamics has signed with Pegasus Solutions to add 60,000 hotels to the portfolio of travel products available on the TravelScanner selling platform.
The integration of the Pegasus connection within TravelScanner provides users with real-time and dynamic access into the centrally-held inventory of hotel chains and individual properties worldwide.
In addition to being able to book all the published rates, the direct connect functionality also allows TravelScanner users to book specially negotiated rates directly in the hotels’ central databases.
TravelScanner users will also have access to the Pegasus Online Distribution Database, enabling them to view the most up-to-date feature-rich property information and images, including location, amenities and available facilities.
For smaller hotels that are either not available via Pegasus or are unable to provide special rates via this dynamic link, TravelScanner users will be able to make use of Pegasus’ PegsTour application, which provides a “local” inventory facility for the management of hotel contracts and allocations.
Dolphin Dynamics president Roberto Da Re said: “By integrating with Pegasus, TravelScanner can now provide an automated solution to those travel companies that need access to the widest possible range of properties from a single booking platform, eliminating the need to manage contracts and/or allocations in a different system, saving considerable efforts and money.
“We also realised that not all properties will have this high level of connectivity available, which is why the functionality of managing rates and local inventory that Pegasus offers with their PegsTour application, was a natural choice in order for us to be able to provide a complete solution for our customers accommodation needs.”
