Dolphin integrates Gullivers/Octopus Travel content

Dolphin Dynamics has added content from Travelport brands Gullivers Travel Associates/Octopus Travel to its TravelScanner point of sale and booking engine.

By accessing GTA content, Dolphin will be able to provide a large inventory of accommodation across a range of destinations.

GTA claims to be one of the world’s largest suppliers of hotel inventory to the travel industry with more than 16 million bed nights in 23,000 hotels and apartments booked through GTA and consumer-facing subsidiary Octopus Travel a year.

TravelScanner allows travel agents to search, compare and sell from a single browser-based application, a range of products including flights, car hire and insurance.

The addition of GTA’s hotel accommodation will substantially enhance the range of bookable travel content available to users of the application, according to Dolphin.

President Roberto Da Re said: “The addition of GTA completes our product offering and allow us to provide our clients with a complete range of content that will help them to continue to reap the benefits of our integrated solutions, while opening a new market segment for Dolphin Dynamics.

“Our business is growing at an extraordinary rate and TravelScanner is helping to strengthen our position in the Point of Sale and Booking Engine business, in the same way that we are a leading and established supplier of mid/back office products.

“We are committed to continue investing heavily in developing point of sale and booking engine technology which will help agents and operators reduce cost and improve margins by exploiting the opportunities made available by a fast changing travel industry.”
