At least 34 people were injured after a collision of two rollercoasters at a Legoland park in southern Germany.

The collision happened in the station of the Fire Dragon rollercoaster in Günzburg, Bavaria.

The Bavarian Red Cross said 15 people were taken to a local hospital.

Ten children were among the injured.

Police separately said one person was seriously injured.

A total of 38 people were on the two trains, Legoland said.

The park said the cause of the accident is still unknown.

One coaster train slammed into the back of another train which had stopped in the station.

Legoland said that the park will reopen on Friday but the Fire Dragon coaster will be closed until further notice until a full inspection incomplete.
