Dramatic expansion of escorted family tours
Tauck Bridges, a relatively new escorted family travel operator, reported families traveling on vacations more than doubled in 2004 compared to last year.
“As a result, the company is dramatically expanding its departure dates in 2005 for both the summer and winter/spring school holidays,” the company said.
Launched in 2003, Tauck Bridges is operating 11 different itineraries in 2005 to the US, Europe, Costa Rica, and the Galapagos.
Parents with children and grandparents with grandchildren are typical Tauck Bridges travelers. “It’s not uncommon for a family of 10, 20 or 30 to travel together,” added Jennifer Tombaugh, brand manager, Tauck Bridges.
Tauck Bridges is a subsidiary of Tauck World Discovery, founded in 1925.
