Driving through Paris? You’ll need a sticker
Self-drive holidaymakers travelling through central Paris from Monday to Friday must apply for a ‘polllution sticker’ from mid-January.
Those hiring cars in France should be issued with stickers from January 16, but those taking their own cars will have to apply for a sticker online.
The UK Foreign Office said the French Ministry of Environment would have a special English-language website available for applications from early January.
The measure has been introduced to reduce car fumes in the French capital, which has been suffering from increased pollution in recent days.
The stickers must be displayed on all vehicles, including motorbikes, from 8am to 8pm from Monday to Friday.
