Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has shortlisted 18 hotels for the first-ever Dubai Green Tourism Awards.
In total, 79 entries were received from hotels in four categories – five-star, four-star, three-star and deluxe hotel apartments, said Shaikha Al Mutawa, director of business development, DTCM.
They were initially whittled down to a long-list comprising 33 hotels, which were all then subjected to vigorous site visits from August to December 2009.
