Duel in the desert at Eilat
The third Eilat International Half Desert Marathon on November 29 will offer runners the challenge of competing against the desert landscape.
The course starts in the northern part of the Red Sea resort of Eilat and takes competitors towards Shchoret Mountain.
Registration closes on November 10 and runners can choose between competing in distances of 5k, 10k and half marathon.
There is also a 2k race for children.
Organisers advise participants they will need to prepare for unpredictable weather and solar radiation, as well as wearing correct footwear to prevent sand from irritating their skin.
