Dusit chooses Bangkok for first millennial-brand hotel
Thai hotel group Dusit has announced Bangkok’s Chinatown as the location for the debut of new millennial-focused brand Asai.
It has signed an agreement with I Am Chinatown Co., Ltd to operate Asai Bangkok Chinatown.
The property is slated to open in early 2020 with 224 rooms.
The hotel will have large communal social space, a fitness centre, and a bar.
There will also be a pop-up restaurant concept showcasing curated food selections from Bangkok restaurants Appia, Peppina and Soul Food Mahanakorn.
"The hotel is perfectly positioned to capture the attention of millennial-minded travellers, and establish our presence in the affordable lifestyle market," said Suphajee Suthumpun, Group CEO, Dusit International.
So far Dusit has signed five more Asai properties, with a second coming to Bangkok, three launching in Cebu, Philippines and one in Yangon, Myanmar.
