Duty Manager, Guest Services (Based in Macau)

Our client, one of the most spectacular 5 star casino hotels in Macau. Looking for dynamic individuals to be part of the team.

Responsibilities:

Be familiar with all major group and FIT movements in/out of the hotel on a daily basis.

Understand anticipated transportation movements for the day.

Organise teams to handle group or FIT luggage and other movements for the shift.

Ensure all reports are completed during the shift to track baggage and other movements of guest belongings.

Assist guests with general requests.

Ensure team members are carrying out job tasks to prescribed standards.

Assist and direct group arrivals/departures as and when required.

Assist Guest Service Managers in supervising daily operations.

Handle guest complaints and relay guest special request to Guest Service Manager.

Monitor main entrances, particularly the main porte cochere for traffic and valet parking demand levels. Ensure team members are assisting housekeeping by keeping the area tidy and free of loose rubbish.

Monitor and ensure all operations of assigned areas including Traffic Control, Luggage Counter and Valet Parking Area are being carried out to standard.

Supervise, mentor, train, schedule and evaluate Team Members.

Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and team member satisfaction.

Become familiar with the Guest Service Manager job scope and perform tasks as directed by him/her.

Requirements:

College Diploma or equivalent.

Three years or above experience as Supervisor in a 5-star hotel or a logistics company.

Fluent in English and Mandarin, knowledge of other language(s) e.g. Japanese is a plus.

Good communication and diplomacy skills. Ability to “take charge” where necessary and resolve guest problems and concerns.

Be willing to work any day and any shift.

Have a well groomed, professional appearance.
