Dynamic packaging insurance launched
Dynamic packaging protection cover has been introduced by Blue Insurances following the government’s rejection of a £1 airline passenger protection levy.
The new cover is available to agents who sign up with the broker between November 1 and February 25. It provides agents with protection of up to £2,000 per passenger for the insolvency of any travel arrangements booked in the UK or Ireland.
The booking has to be made with a bonded travel agent including components such as hotels, accommodation, car hire, ferries, scheduled airlines, theme parks, and coach journeys. The cover will be offered free to all new agents for a year.
Joint managing director Ciaran Mulligan said: “We pride ourselves on being a young and innovative company that is able to react quickly to the markets needs. The introduction of this new dynamic packaging protection cover is just another way we distinguish ourselves from our competitors”.
Meanwhile, the company is to extend radio advertising in Ireland promoting travel insurance sales through the travel trade to the UK early next year.
