e-Travel has new faring technology

e-Travel announced the availability in June of its new faring technology that it says enables airlines to market their fares more effectively online.

The technology also lets airlines achieve ambitious growth targets, the company says.

Planitgo Flex Pricer (Calendar) offers best-of-breed global faring technology by combining merchandising capabilities with a calendar display and unmatched scalability levels, according to e-Travel.

PhoCusWright recently said the top three factors influencing online travel booking choices are the breadth of flight options, lowest price and ease of use.

“Planitgo Flex Pricer (Calendar) provides airlines with the ability to offer consumers the choice between price, schedule and fare flexibility,” said Ian Wheeler, managing director of Amedeus e-Travel.

The system supports most types of fares, one-way or full itinerary faring structures, he said. It also provides clear and simple explanations, he added.
