e-Travel to access no-frills fares
Business travel agents and corporate travel managers using e-Travel will soon have access to fares from no-frills carriers.
E-Travel owner, Amadeus has struck up a partnership with FareChase to deliver increased access to web-only fares and fares from no-frills airlines. The improved access will be available as part of the latest version of e-Travel Aergo, due to be released this autumn in the US and globally next year.
The announcement comes on the day TravelMole reported plans by Worldspan to launch Project Eclipse, a webfares search facility which will also have access to the no-frills sector.
Travel managers will be able to configure the e-Travel websites to match criteria specific to the individual traveller and to corporate travel policy. Booking data will be retrieved so it is available for analysis.
E-Travel managing director, Ian Wheeler said: “We have long recognised and promoted the concept of comprehensive fare access, and as the issue of web-only fares and low-cost carriers has evolved, e-Travel remains on the fore-front by listening to our customers and applying our industry knowledge and expertise”.
