East Africa single visa stalls
Plans for a single visa granting access to Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda have missed an initial deadline.
The visa scheme was due to take effect on January 1 but has been delayed due to logistical problems.
Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda were expected to be included in the visa, before Tanzania pulled out of the agreement, citing concerns that included the fee collection structure and security.
Burundi is the fifth member state of the East African community, but has yet to be included in the single visa scheme, which was
announced at World Travel Market in London in November.
