easyJet expands network
EasyJet has announced two new routes out of Belfast.
The no-frills carrier is launching three services a day from Belfast to London Gatwick on 3 February, in addition to the flights to London’s Luton and Stansted airports.
The second new route is a twice daily service to Newcastle-upon-Tyne, starting on 30 March, which easyJet is claiming will be the only no-frills service between North East England from Northern Ireland. The only other no-frills carrier operating between Belfast and Northern and Central England is MyTravel Lite, which offers flights to Birmingham.
Fares on both routes start at £12.50 one way including tax.
Other additions to easyJet’s network include flights from Newcastle to Barcelona and Alicante, launching in April, and flights to Prague, Paris and Bristol, launching in August. Flights from London Gatwick to Inverness commence in February and to Milan Linate in May. Finally, flights from Luton to Alicante and Faro will launch in April.
