Easyjet looks to the corporate market

EasyJet is courting business travellers as more agencies become able to book flights and allocated seats on the low cost carrier.

Technology firm Sabre has extended its agreement with easyJet to distribute its fares and services to travel agencies.

More travel agencies will soon be Sabre-connected with access to easyJet fares and the advantage of joining easyJet’s allocated seating trial, allowing passengers to pick their preferred seat at the time of booking.

Harald Eisenaecher, senior vice president for Sabre in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), said: "easyJet has become a major player with UK business travellers in recent years, and it’s important we make these additional services available for our travel management customers to shop and book."

Andrew Hodges, easyJet’s director of sales, distribution & business, said: "easyJet continues to make travel easy and affordable for travellers and we see great efficiencies for TMCs in booking our great value flexible fares via GDS."
