EasyJet puts new routes on sale
EasyJet has started selling seats on 10 new routes from London airports for summer 2013.
In addition to a new service to Moscow, announced last week, easyJet is offering new flights to Kalamata and Mykonos in Greece, to Santiago in Spain, Sofia, Berlin and Krakow in eastern Europe and Olbia in Sardinia.
The airline will also be flying to Sharm el Sheikh and Marrakech from Stansted for the first time. Sofia will also operate from Stansted. Mykonos and Olbia will operate from Luton and Berlin and Krakow will fly year round from Southend Airport, where easyJet will base an additional aircraft for summer 2013.
The 10 new routes give easyJet an extra 316,000 seats for summer 2013.
Most flights have gone on sale today, with Moscow expected to go on sale within the next few weeks. Both Moscow and Kalamata, which will operate from Gatwick, are brand new routes for easyJet.
Paul Simmons, easyJet UK director, said: "Moscow and Kalamata are particularly exciting announcements as they are not currently part of our network. easyJet has proved again and again that when we enter a new market we open it up to both leisure and business travellers by making access to these new destinations easy and affordable.
"Destinations like Moscow from London Gatwick and Berlin from London Southend will further bolster our standing with them and ensure that they stay well connected to the key business centres in Europe."
