Easyjet sets launch date for Istanbul service
EasyJet will start flights between London Luton and Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen International Airport on August 1.
The launch was postponed due to a delay in the application for an operating licence.
The airline will operator a three times weekly service throughout August (on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays), increasing to daily from September 4.
Fares are from 60.98 return, including taxes.
Easyjet has also launched flights from Glasgow to Alicante and Malaga this week and will begin a three times daily service from Glasgow to London Gatwick on October 2.
Earlier this year it announced it would be converting Edinburgh and Glasgow to solely Airbus operations this summer, replacing the current fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft with new Airbus 319s.
