Eight Shangri-La hotels make it to Conde Nast Traveler top Asia hotels list
Readers of Condé Nast Traveler (US) voted eight Shangri-La luxury hotels among the top 75 hotels in Asia in the 2006 “Readers’ Choice Awards,” the most properties of any hotel group represented on the Asia list. In the awards published in the magazine’s November 2006 issue, Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore was also named one of the “Top 100” hotels in the world.

The Condé Nast Traveler Readers Choice awards are based upon a survey completed by 21,096 readers of the publication. The survey asked subscribers to evaluate hotels on five characteristics: food/dining, location, overall design, rooms, and service. The publication calculated the average rating of each characteristic and tabulated each property’s overall score.
Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts currently manages 49 hotels under Shangri-La and Traders brands with a rooms inventory of over 23,000.
