El Al, JetBlue enhance codeshare partnership
JetBlue Airways and El Al Israel Airlines are planning to increase connectivity with an enhanced codeshare agreement allowing El Al passengers more options on JetBlue’s US network.
The partnership will cover 35 domestic JetBlue routes once government approval is granted.
El Al has up to 22 non-stop flights from Tel Aviv to New York each week and the partnership will allow for through ticketing to onward JetBlue destinations such as Boston, Chicago O’Hare, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, Houston, Las Vegas, and Orlando.
JetBlue flies to 86 cities across the US, Caribbean and Latin America, carrying more than 30 million passengers a year.
"The partnership offers passengers more convenient options between Israel and North America and this improved agreement highlights our strategy to operate a global airline in an effort to advance tourism between Israel and the US," said El Al CEO, David Maimon.
