Elegant Resorts has appointed Lisa Fitzell as managing director, starting next April.

She replaces Michelle Sephton who held the role for more than eight years before stepping down in September. Sephton will continue to advise the company until next February.

Fitzell has worked in the travel industry for 30 years, most recently as group MD for Diethelm Travel’s Asian businesses, based in Bangkok.

She will report into Redmand Walsh, CEO of Elegant Resorts’ parent company Portman Travel Group. "We would like to warmly welcome Lisa to the business. She is a well known and respected figure in the industry and will be a great addition to the team at Elegant Resorts," he said.
