Ellerby quits Costa
Costa Cruises UK country manager Paul Ellerby is leaving the company this month after almost five years.
The Italian line said Ellerby was going at the end of January “to pursue a new career challenge”.
Ellerby said: “I have enjoyed my time with Costa and I value the experience it has given me. Costa has an outstanding product which I have been proud to promote. I believe the company has excellent potential in the UK.”
Costa’s European sales and marketing senior vice-president Mario Martini said: “During Paul’s time with the company, Costa’s UK sales have more than doubled and its retail distribution has increased by 110 per cent.
“His positive contribution has established a stronger foundation for the company in this major market. Costa is committed to seeing its UK growth continue.”
He added: “Paul has also been an excellent ambassador for the company at industry level in his work with the Passenger Shipping Association, both as a director on the Council of Management and as chair of the public relations campaign.”
