SYDNEY – Emirates is now flying the A380 daily Dubai to Sydney and onto Auckland.

The Dubai-based carrier introduced the A380 on the Dubai-Sydney-Auckland route in February with a thrice-weekly service.

Emirates, the only airline to operate an A380 trans-Tasman, said the move would allow a seamless A380 experience from Auckland/Sydney to Dubai and onwards to London Heathrow.

From June 1, the Emirates A380 route network will also include Bangkok and Toronto, serviced from Dubai.

Stephen Pearse, Emirates’ vice president Australia, said, “Emirates made a commitment to increased services to the Australian community some years ago and while we have promised big things for this market we have also delivered, even in the present economic times.”

Facilities on board the A380 for First Class passengers include flatbed, massage-equipped private suites and shower spas.

All 76 flatbed seats in Business Class have aisle access. The upper deck also includes an onboard lounge for First and Business Class passengers.

There are 399 Economy class seats.
