Emirates offers Aussie travellers special autumn deals

Emirates is offering Aussie passengers an extra incentive to travel in 2008, with special autumn fares to the 22 European destinations on Emirates’ route network.
 
Special fares are valid for travel from now until 20 November 2008 with return fares starting from $1995 ex SYD/BNE/MEL excluding taxes. This fare is available for travel between 4 October and 11 November 2008. Terms and conditions apply.
 
Bookings must be made before 7 April 2008, so passengers must be quick to take advantage of this great offer.
 
Emirates’ Vice President Commercial Australia, Stephen Pearse said:  “Emirates is proud of our extensive European network and the convenient connections from each of our four ports in Australia – Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. We hope that these special fares encourage Australians to visit a favourite European destination or discover somewhere new.”
 
Travellers can choose from any of Emirates’ 22 European destinations including Athens, Birmingham, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Glasgow, Hamburg, Istanbul, Larnaca, London (Heathrow and Gatwick), Manchester, Malta, Milan, Moscow, Munich, Newcastle, Nice, Paris, Rome, Venice, Vienna, and Zurich.
 
2008 is gearing up to be an exciting year for Emirates as the airline introduces many new initiatives. The airline recently launched new amenity kits containing exclusive products by Bvlgari, which are offered to First and Business Class passengers on Emirates’ long-haul flights.
 
Emirates frequent flyer program Skywards, recently launched The Emirates High Street, an inspirational shopping catalogue containing a range of world-class products that can be purchased using Skywards frequent flyer points or cash, or a combination of the two. The catalogue is now available onboard all Emirates’ flights and online at www.theemirateshighstreet.com
 
Emirates continues to invest in product development and research, and is partnering with London Heathrow, Dubai International and Hong Kong International airports to trial RFID (radio-frequency identification) technology in baggage handling. Emirates is also the first airline in the world to commercially launch an inflight mobile telephone service, affording even greater convenience to passengers wishing to stay connected while travelling.
 
Terms and Conditions of the offer:
• Reservations and ticketing must be made from or after 4 March 2008 and tickets must be issued within 7 days after reservations are made, or by 7 April 2008, or whichever occurs first.
• Fares subject to booking class availability.
• Two date changes permitted within the same season and ticket validity at a charge of AUD75 per change.
• Date change by revalidation to the first sector of the itinerary will require the entire itinerary to be assessed based on the travel date. Difference in fare if any will need to be collected and the transaction will be treated as a reissue.
• One free stopover in Dubai either inbound or outbound and an additional stopover in Dubai at a charge of AUD100.
• Taxes are not included.
• Cancellation fee before travel has commenced AUD330 – nil refund after departure.
• Further conditions apply.
• Travel is between 4 October 2008 and 11 November 2008.
• Departure from last international stopover point must commence no earlier than 10 days after departure from fare origin.
• Airfare ex SYD/BNE/MEL : W Class $1995. For departures between (04/10/08-11/11/08);  Y Class $2181 for departures between (01/05/08-31/05/08; 20/09/08-03/10/08; 12/11/08-20/11/08); Y Class $2421 for departures between (28/03/08-30/04/08; 01/06/08-27/06/08; 18/08/08-19/09/08); Y Class $2640 for departures between (28/06/08-17/08/08) (All fares inclusive of fuel and security surcharges but do not include airport taxes/levies which range from $88 to $210)
• 10 Day minimum stay / 4 month maximum stay.
