Emirates to cut a quarter of flights during Dubai runway upgrade
Emirates passengers are being warned of a reduced flight schedule later this year due to major maintenance work at Dubai Airport.
The airport’s runway will close for an extensive upgrade for 45 days between April 16 and May 30, forcing the airline to cancel around 25% of its network.
Other flights will be re-timed or changed as a result of the disruption, which will see 48 Emirates aircraft not being used.
The reductions will impact Emirates flights from Dubai to and from Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, Manchester, Edinburgh and Birmingham plus other key airports worldwide.
