Epic’s journey is about to begin

Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest ship Norwegian Epic has finished her sea trials and sets off from France to Rotterdam today.

The latest of NCL’s Freestyle vessels, Epic will then complete a one-night preview cruise to Southampton where 2500 travel trade will be able to inspect it.

On June 24 it will depart the city for a sold-out seven-day transatlantic crossing to New York where it will host the annual Fourth of July fire work display for Big Apple flagship store Macy’s.

After further inaugural celebrations in Miami in early July, the ship will sail alternating seven-day Eastern and western Caribbean itineraries from July 10 until April 2011.

 
Ports of call on the Eastern Caribbean itinerary include Philipsburg, St. Maarten; St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; and Nassau, Bahamas. 
 
The Western Caribbean cruises visit Costa Maya,Mexico; Roatán, Bay Islands, Honduras; and Cozumel, Mexico.
