ESPN’s X Games moves to a new date
ESPN ‘s inaugural X Games Austin event dates will shift to June 5-8, 2014. Previously, the event dates were slated for May 15-18.
Following a competitive bid process during which Austin edged out Chicago, Detroit and Charlotte, N.C., ESPN announced in July that the Texas capital was selected to host X Games summer events for four years at the new 1,500-acre Circuit of The Americas sports and entertainment complex in Austin.
X Games Austin will showcase more than 200 of the world’s premier athletes in the sports of skateboarding, BMX, motocross and rally.
