Etihad, China Eastern Airlines boost strategic cooperation
Etihad Airways is deepenening its collaboration with China Eastern Airlines.
The airlines inked a Strategic Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), to expand commercial and operational ties.
The pact will give travellers greater choices and increased value, while ‘contributing to sustainable aviation,’ the airlines said.
They will expand their airline codeshare, loyalty program offers, ground handling, staff training, and more.
The MoU will boost Abu Dhabi flights with a combination of Etihad and China Eastern services, which would coincide with the newly opened Terminal A at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Antonoaldo Neves, Etihad CEO said: “Our two airlines have operated an enduring partnership for over a decade. It marks a significant development of the direct links between Abu Dhabi and China.”
