Etihad delays planned daily service to DFW
Gulf carrier Etihad Airways has put on hold plans to operate daily on its Abu Dhabi-Dallas Fort Worth route.
The airline said the previously announced date in April this year will now be postponed until sometime in 2016.
Etihad currently flies on the route three times a week and will continue with the existing schedule until then.
"Our Dallas/Fort Worth service has received an extremely positive response since its launch in December 2014 and flights will continue to operate as scheduled on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. We will advise our stakeholders as soon as the revised timeframe for a daily service is confirmed," Etihad said in a statement.
The carrier said it had revised its 2015 schedule structure and fleet plan, which will impact timings for several North America flights.
Competitors Emirates and Qatar Airways both operate daily from DFW to the Middle East.
