Etihad flags F1 incentive
MELBOURNE – Etihad Airways’ is offering Australian travel agents the chance to win a trip to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
As official sponsor of the last race of the 2009 Formula One season, Etihad is offering agents one point for every Etihad Airways’ ticket sold.
For every 20 points, the agent will have the chance to win one of three prizes:
1. The Grand Prix experience which includes two Etihad Pearl Business Class tickets to Abu Dhabi, tickets to see the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on November 1, four nights’ accommodation at the Crowne Plaza Yas Marina, a tour of Abu Dhabi and a choice between a spa treatment and a day at the Aquaventure Water Park.
2. The Ultimate Rock experience which includes tickets for the winner and nine of their friends to see AC/DC rock Etihad Stadium in Melbourne for their Black Ice Tour.
3. The Spring Racing experience which includes a MYER experience at the AAMI Victorian Derby Day, meet with Jennifer Hawkins and two tickets to the after-party featuring international guest performances. The winner will also receive a MYER gift card to the value of $500.
Prizes are also up for grabs for agents at the 10 and 15 point pit stops: 10 points will give agents a chance to win one of 15 Etihad Airways Grand Prix gift packs, and 20 points means entry into a draw to win one of 20 Etihad Airways food and beverage packs.

In other news, Etihad has also announced that it is to open a new premium lounge at London Heathrow airport as part of the airline’s flights moving from Terminal Three to Terminal Four on September 30.
