Etihad ups UAE flights from London
Gulf newcomer Etihad Airways is to double frequency from London to Abu Dhabi.
The carrier, which launched operations six months ago and started flights from Heathrow recently, is to run 10 flights a week from 13 June.
The increase will see the United Arab Emirates airline offering a daily service with twice daily flights on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
The new services will offer improved connections via the UAE to Bangkok, which Etihad serves four times a week.
Fares until the end of June start at £249 to Abu Dhabi, excluding taxes.
The increase in frequency coincides with the airline recruiting Tim Lorimer as UK sales manager from Continental Airlines where he was head of leisure sales. He has previously worked at Delta Airlines, Celebrity Cruises and Trailfinders.
